Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Was watching the BGN qualifying show on Speed, and Larry Mac told quite an interesting story of "musical drivers" Apparently the Curb-Agajanian #43 car normally driven by Aj Fike, decided to go with a different driver for this weekends event at California. The first choice was Nextel Cup driver Scott Wimmer, but Wimmers sponsor Caterpillar said they did not want him to drive a Busch series car, then they asked Robby Gordon if he would be interested, Gordon was but apparently Chevy, (Robbys cup car make) wasnt because the #43 is a Dodge. So finally the #43 team landed the services of Craftsman Truck Series driver Tracy Hines.
Things just seem way to complicated these days. The days of drivers just hoppin in a ride anytime, anywhere and doing what they do which is "race" is long gone..... just my opinion.
