NSS Updates:TC WINS NIGHT #1

As the calls come in we will bring all news of local interest into this thread.  Please feel free to post anything that you hear, Here!

Of local interest: Stafford Late Model and SK competitor Kenny Horton is heading down to New Smyrna to compete in his SK car.

Also possibly, Stafford SK driver Frank Ruocco may find his way to the New Smyrna Speedway on or about Monday to compete in the SK division.

Word has it that Race Director Dick Brooks has said the SK's WILL compete in their own features, separate from the Tour type Mods.

Keep Watching Here: We will post the tidbits as we receive them.

RE: NSS Updates:

Well, call the official 2005 Racing Season started.  We have just received word regarding the lineup for tonight's Mod feature event.  As we stated previously, there will be a separate SK feature, with the car count they had no choice but to allow the SK's to run their own event.  Eyewitnesses report that Chris Jones has the car to beat in the SK's, but the competition is definitely tighter for the Mods.

Donny Lia was the fastest Tour Mod, but lost the pole in the redraw to the Bear Motorsports entry of Tim Arre, with Donny starting all the way in 7th position. Chuck Hossfeld starts tonight's race in the 4th spot, and Ted (TC) Tornado Christopher starts 8th.

Interesting for local modified fans is the entry of Jon McKennedy in the Boehler family racing machine.  The photo below below was taken Thursday during practice.

In the SK Modified division feature Chris Jones took an uninterrupted ride around New Smyrna Speedway 15 times to grab the checkered flag, with Mike Holdridge 2nd and Dave Michael rounded out the podium finishers.
