PASS engine rule update for 2005


2005 Engine Information - 1/19/2005

1.   For race season 2005, GM 23 degree high port and 14 degree heads must carry a 25 lb weight penalty. Starting race year 2006, GM engines can not use 23 degree cast iron high port heads or GM14 degree heads.

Note: Weight penalty may be readjusted during the 2005 season to equalize competition.

2.   Cars running stock #2101 intake manifolds( not exceeding 14:1 compression) with stock 500cfm
carburetors and no dry sump engines, may compete under the following weight rules. Perimeter
chassis minimum weight #2775 & 58% left side weight, Straight Rail chassis minimum weight
#2800 & 58% left side weight. All other PASS Rules apply.


Note: Weight requirements maybe adjusted by PASS to equalize competition.

3.   No roller rocker camshaft assemblies allowed. Only year 2002 & older head designs allowed on
all makes of engines
