I really can't comment on the TVMRS as I've never been to an event. I've heard so much about it though. These guys are making alot of noise in the north east modified world. It sounds as though it's really catching on!! I do think it's a good thing. As I understand it, the founder and racer, Jack Bateman wanted to race modifieds and "have fun again". That's just what he's done too, with heat races and all, the way it used to be at all the speedways each week for the nascar modifieds before they went "on tour".
I'm not knocking the WMT which I love, I just want to see other series do well too. I think New England is big enough to have another series. I've heard rumors about Nascar bullying sanctioned tracks (Seekonk) not to let the two series mix it up or let the TVMRS compete at their facilities or they would possibly lose their sanctioning. If this is true, it is WRONG!!
