You are half right Sheryl.

Dale Jarrett played golf in college and actually had aspirations to play proffesionally. But, it was in his genes to go on and become a race car driver. He puts on a large charity golf tournament every year. So at least he still gets to play, and I'm sure he has access to the course near his home like many do. If that part of your answer is correct, then the second part of the question would be his teammate...

I didn't know Newman played football! But with his build, and the football player neck, or lack of for that matter...LOL! That's something I will look into.

ok, so his teammate is Elliott Sadler, but I don't know what sport it would be -

Dale Jarrett had a dream to play proffessional golf and actually was on his golf team in college. He has always said that he would've played "if the racing thing hadn't panned out."

Elliott Sadler played every extra-cirricular sport available to him and ran go-carts! He was offered a full scholarship to play basketball for UV, but his heart was in his racing at South Boston Speedway, VA., in the Late Model division.

Another little bit of useless trivia: Elliott holds the record for the most Fried Bologna Burgers eaten at one sitting at South Boston, where they have a Bologna Burger Stand! Think they'll sell at Stafford Ladies?
