Wade Mattesen and the # 6 Team had an up an down weekend at last weekend's 2008 season opening Spring Sizzler event at the Stafford Motor Speedway.
After a strong run in their qualifying heat on Saturday, and a great start to Sundays event's (Wade and the team would like to thank all the fan's that stopped by during the pit party!) unfortunately Wade was involved in a few minor incidents that cost him a chance at a probable top ten finish.
"The team gave me a great race car all weekend" commented Wade. "We got turned by a lap car about mid race I'm not sure exactly what was going on there so we had to play catch up from there. I was going for 6th position on the last lap under the #9 car and I just got in there a little to hot and spun Brad and myself out, I hate that it happen but we turned the second fastest lap of the race on the transponder's so we know we have a good race car and we'll just move on to this Friday.
