May 4th will feature the 2008 Burkes Do-It Best MSA-Oswego Wing Series first of six races for the 2008 season along with the PathFinder Bank SBS Racing Series. On May 19th, the PathFinder Bank SBS Series will be joined by the first race of the season for the Novelis Supermodifieds. The Oswego Speedway welcomes returning sponsors Gater Racing News, Coca-Cola, Lighthouse Lanes and the Oswego Sub Shop to start the 2008 racing season at Oswego with races on Sunday May 4th and Saturday May 10th. The newest corporate sponsor to join the Kids On-Track program is the lodging family of Red Carpet Inn,Scottish Inns & Suites and Days Inn locations in Pulaski and Oswego. They are the sponsor of the new Kids On-Track program mascot, Red the Eagle. Red will be on hand each week at the Oswego Speedway and will be making appearances on behalf of the Kids On-Track program at various functions. Several people will take turns in Reds costume during the season.

Thomas Video Productions will continue to provide both video and audio coverage of racing action at the Oswego Speedway in 2008 for registered users of the Oswego Speedway website. Audio coverage will be available weekly at no charge as a podcast feature of the website. Free video highlight packages will continue to be available in 2008 and should be available on the website by Wednesdays each week. The Econo Lodge and Best Western, locally owned by the Broadwell family, have long been supporters of the Oswego Speedway. In 2008 they have shifted their sponsorship around and have become a race night co-sponsor. Every weekend during the racing season several fans from outside of the area, especially north of the border, make it to Oswego to watch the racing action. Oswego Speedway lodging partners like Econo Lodge and Best Western recognize the important role that the Oswego Speedway plays on tourism and they welcome the visiting fans with open arms. There will be more on the line for guests of those two hotels in 2008.

The 2008 Oswego Speedway racing schedule has been finalized. Full color brochures and posters were first distributed at the Gater News Motorsports Expo at the New York State Fairgrounds, March 7th, 8th & 9th. At least four classes of cars are set to make their first ever appearance for a regular Saturday show at Oswego. The highly successful MSA-Oswego Wing Series doubles from three to six scheduled races in 2008. In all, the schedule will showcase ten classes of race cars and have five $10 adult admission nights during the 2008 season.
