Adams a Surprise ACT Winner at Oxford Plains Speedway
Dragon crashes out of win in a heartbreaker, Cyr clinches record seventh ACT title

For Immediate Release                        ACT-100607-1

OXFORD, ME Stock car racer Travis Adams of Canton, ME was a threat to win the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) New England Dodge
Dealers 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday evening, but the he went about it was a surprise.  Adams battled with
Colchester, VT driver Scott Dragon for the lead throughout the event, but was resigned to second place as the final laps
approached.  With nine circuits remaining, however, the lapped car of Doug Coombs spun directly in front the leaders, and Dragons
Jeffords Steel & Engineering Chevrolet slammed into Coombs car.  Both drivers were uninjured, but Dragons bid for the win was
over.  He was credited with the 29th finishing position.

Following the restart on lap 141, Adams picked up where Dragon left off, and lead the race uncontested on the way to his first
career ACT Late Model Tour win.  Adams led the race on three occasions, and finished on the ACT podium for the second time in
2007 the Oxford Plains Speedway Track Champion was a third-place finisher in ACTs Time Warner Cable 100 in August.

Rocket Roger Brown of Lancaster, NH finished second in the race, and clinched the L/A Harley-Davidson Challenge Series
Championship, a five-race mini-series at OPS.  Brown won the prestigious TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford in July.  Former Serie ACT
Castrol Champion Donald Theetge of Quebec City finished third ahead of Brent Dragon of Milton, VT and Eddie MacDonald of Rowley,
MA.  Shawn Martin, Alan Tardiff, John Donahue, Randy Potter, and Tracie Bellerose rounded out the unofficial Top 10 finishers in
order.

Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT clinched his fifth consecutive and seventh overall ACT Late Model Tour Championship over cross-town
rival Scott Payea.  Cyr, with a 12th-place finish in the race, set new records in both consecutive and overall ACT championship
categories.  Payea finished 17th in the race, the final car on the lead lap.

The New England Dodge Dealers 150 was slowed by six caution periods, running one hour, 21 minutes, 14 seconds.  Dragon and Adams
traded the lead five times during the event.  Twenty-eight of the 34 starters were running at the finish.  Forty-eight drivers
attempted to qualify.  For more information on the American-Canadian Tour, call (802) 244-6963 or visit www.acttour.com.
