Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
Craftsman Truck Series champion and Roush Fenway Racing driver Travis Kvapil will make his fourth career start in the NASCAR Busch Series at Bristol Motor Speedway this Friday in the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion. Kvapil is currently running a full-season in the No. 6 K&N Ford F-150 for Roush Fenway in the Truck Series but is looking forward to the opportunity to showcase his talent in the Busch Series. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to run the No. 16 3M Fusion," said Kvapil. "I've only made a couple of Busch Series starts in my career, but I've spent some time this year in the No. 60 Ford helping Carl Edwards with practice and qualifying at some of the non-companion events." Kvapil has been on fire in the Truck Series this year. In just 15 starts he has accrued three wins (Michigan, Memphis and Nashville), one pole (Michigan), seven top-five and 10 top10 finishes and currently sits third in the overall point standings. As for his stats at Bristol, Kvapil racked up a truck win in 2003 at the .533-mile oval and has put up three top-10 and five top-20 finishes in six career NASCAR starts at the track (two truck and four Nextel Cup races). It's a track that he looks forward to. (RFR PR) Note: No word on Todd Kluever's status with the team as of yet. Kluever had been splitting the No. 16 ride this season with Greg Biffle. He's driven 16 events so far this year with one top-10. (08-21-07)
