Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Night Rescheduled at Thunder Road
For Immediate Release TR-080707-1
BARRE, VT The previously rained-out Fisher/Federated Auto Parts stock car event at Barres Thunder Road has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 28 at 6:30pm. Heavy downpours postponed the four-division racing program last month. With its new date, the Fisher/Federated Auto Parts race will be the final regular-season event in Thunder Roads 48th annual summer racing schedule, and is the deciding race in the battle for the King of the Road crown for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Thunder Road Late Model division. Shelburnes Jamie Fisher currently leads Cris Michaud of Williamstown and Dave Pembroke of Montpelier. Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Night will also be the 15th of 17 championship point races for the Tiger Sportsman division, and the 16th of 18 events for the Allen Lumber Street Stock and Power Shift Online Junkyard Warrior divisions. Early qualifying events for the rescheduled Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Night begin at 6:30pm, with the traditional Thunder Road Post Parade rolling out at 7:00pm. General admission is $9 for adults, $3 for kids, and just $18 for a family of four. Thunder Road is located at the end of Fisher Road atop Quarry Hill in Barre, VT.
