5 Fails Post Race Inspection: UPDATE: Car Did Not Fail, but Springs Did Not Meet Specs: The springs for the race-winning Winn-Dixie 250 #5 Chevy of Kyle Busch failed postrace inspection Saturday afternoon at Daytona International Speedway. Any penalties will be announced next week. NASCAR has taken the front springs from the car, NASCAR spokeswoman Tracy Judd said. NASCAR rules require the left-front spring rate to be no less than 800 pounds, and the right-front no less than 1500 pounds. UPDATE: The front springs from Kyle Busch's Winn-Dixie 250-winning Chevy did meet the minimum spring rate upon further evaluation at the NASCAR Research and Development Center. Therefore, no penalties will be levied against Busch's #5 Hendrick Motorsports team.(SceneDaily.com)(7-9-2007)
