Now with all that out of the way.....Let's make some laps!
There is a long break between races, so I thought I would brew up a "Just My Thoughts".
Lately I have been paying alot of attention to the Busch East Series. A series that appered to be headed for extinction not long ago (in my opinion at least). With the new rules the series has now attracted some of the top "future names" in motorsports. Say it with me Lo-Gan-o.
If NASCAR really intends to help the Modifieds grow as a division, where are the cost cutting rules for them? Wy are competitive motors in the $40 to $50 thousand dollar range? Why not run the same engine as the NASCAR Busch East Series? OR maybe the cars should be more like an SK. I know some people may want me linched for typing this, BUT I think it would work. Lately there has been a new type of Modified created as the "Entry Level Division". The "SK Light". There's also the "SST", "M.A.D", "X-Modifieds", etc. My point is, there are "feeder divisions". Let these cars be what the "SK Modified" once was. Make what once was an "SK Modified", the NEW NASCAR Whelen Tour Type Modified".
These are just my thoughts. -WMT-
